Educational Qualification
The educational qualifications and experience requirements vary according to the post.
1. Librarian (Group C)
Candidates must have a graduation degree along with a postgraduate diploma in Library Science or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science.
Three years of experience as a Library Attendant or in a higher position in a related field is required.
2. Peon (Group D)
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognised board.
No prior work experience is required.
3. Mali (Group D)
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognised board.
Three years of experience in gardening or a related field is required.
4. Cook-cum-Attendant (Group D)
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognised board.
Three years of cooking experience in a government undertaking or a reputed hotel is required.
Preference may be given to candidates familiar with the relevant local customs and dialects.
Age Limit:
The minimum age limit is 18 years. The maximum age limit depends on the candidate’s category.

- Eligible Government Employees: 18 to 50 years
Age will be calculated as of 1 January 2026. Applicable age relaxation is subject to the official recruitment rules and category-wise eligibility conditions.
Salary:
Selected candidates will receive salaries according to the prescribed pay levels.
- Librarian: Pay Level 09, ₹35,600–₹1,12,800 per month
- Peon: Pay Level 01, ₹18,000–₹56,900 per month
- Mali: Pay Level 01, ₹18,000–₹56,900 per month
- Cook-cum-Attendant: Pay Level 01, ₹18,000–₹56,900 per month
The relevant service rules will govern the applicable pay and allowances.
Application Fee:
Candidates must pay the application fee online while submitting the application form.
- Unreserved Candidates: ₹450 (including GST)
- Reserved Category Candidates: ₹300 (including GST)

Selection Process
The selection process differs for the Librarian and Group D posts.
1. Librarian (Group C): Selection will be based on a written competitive examination.
The final merit list will be prepared according to the marks obtained in the written test.
2. Peon, Mali and Cook-cum-Attendant (Group D): Candidates will be shortlisted for evaluation and document verification based on their Matriculation marks.
Shortlisting will be conducted in a 1:3 ratio.
A total of 85 marks will be allocated based on educational qualification, while 15 marks will be allocated for document evaluation.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the applicable educational marks and evaluation criteria.
The 15-mark evaluation may include eligible criteria such as educationally or economically disadvantaged circumstances, disability, relevant experience, and specified extracurricular achievements, as detailed in the official notification.
