Vacancy Details
Canara Bank has announced 3,500 Graduate Apprentice training seats. The category-wise distribution is as follows:
- Unreserved (UR): 1,541 Posts
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 553 Posts
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 226 Posts
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 845 Posts
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 335 Posts
Total Training Seats: 3,500
Additionally, 125 seats are reserved horizontally for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), as specified in the notification. The total number of seats is provisional and may change according to the bank’s requirements.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must fulfil the following educational requirements to apply for the Graduate Apprentice posts.
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation on or after 1 January 2023 and on or before 1 September 2026.
- Applicants must be registered on the NATS apprenticeship portal.
- Candidates must meet the prescribed local language requirements for the training location they select.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, or who have the relevant prior work experience specified in the notification, may be ineligible. Applicants should carefully check the official eligibility conditions before applying.
Age Limit
The age limit for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is as follows:

Salary / Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the 12-month apprenticeship training period.
Monthly Stipend: ₹16,650
The monthly stipend includes the applicable government subsidy. Canara Bank will contribute ₹10,500 per month, while the Government of India contribution of ₹6,150 will be credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), subject to the applicable rules.
Apprentices will not be treated as regular employees of the bank and will not be entitled to the benefits available to regular employees.

Selection Process
The selection process for Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be based on academic merit and subsequent verification.
1. Merit List – A state-wise merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in Class 12 (HSC/10+2) or a Diploma. In the event of a tie in marks, the older candidate will receive preference, as prescribed in the notification.
2. Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Applicants must produce their original educational certificates, identity proof, and other required documents.
3. Local Language Test – Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the prescribed local language. The local language test will be conducted at the document verification stage, as applicable.
