Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification prescribed for the relevant post.
Applicants should have passed the required level of schooling from a recognised educational board or institution and must also possess the prescribed sports achievements.
This recruitment is specifically for meritorious sportspersons, and simply meeting the educational qualification is not sufficient. Candidates must fulfil the sports achievement criteria mentioned in the official notification.
Age Limit
The prescribed age limit is:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 23 Years
- The age will be calculated with reference to 1 August 2026.
Age relaxation will be available to eligible candidates belonging to reserved categories and other categories as per the applicable recruitment rules. The official notification should be checked for the exact relaxation applicable to each category.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive salary according to the applicable Central Government pay level.
Head Constable (General Duty):₹25,500 – ₹81,100

Selection Process
There will be no conventional written examination for this recruitment.
The selection will primarily be based on sports achievement and the prescribed physical and selection stages.
The selection process includes:
1. Sports Achievement Assessment
Eligible candidates will be assessed based on their recognised sports achievements as specified in the recruitment notification.
A merit list will be prepared based on the applicable sports achievement criteria.
2. Physical Standard Test
Shortlisted candidates will have to qualify in the prescribed Physical Standard Test (PST).
Candidates must satisfy the required physical standards applicable to their category and post.
3. Sports Trial Test
Candidates who qualify the required stages will have to participate in the prescribed Sports Trial Test.
The trial is intended to assess the candidate’s sporting ability in the relevant discipline.
4. Medical Examination
