Bank of Baroda (BOB) has officially released the recruitment notification (Advt No. BOB/HRM/REC/ADVT/2026/16) for the appointment of 2,482 vacancies for the post of Local Bank Officer (LBO) in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMG/Scale-I) regularly.

Eligible graduates with at least one year of post-qualification banking officer experience can submit their applications online through the official Bank of Baroda careers portal before the closing deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification & Experience (As of August 01, 2026)

• Education: Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution (Integrated Dual Degrees, CA, ICWA, Engineering, and medical graduates are also eligible).
• Mandatory Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB) listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI.
• Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the applied state/UT.

2. Age Limit (As of August 01, 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years
• Upper Age Relaxation:
  • SC / ST: 5 Years (Up to 35 Years)
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years (Up to 33 Years)
  • PwBD (General/EWS): 10 Years | PwBD (OBC): 13 Years | PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 to 10 Years (as per applicable category)

Selection Process

The selection framework consists of the following stages:

1. Online Written Examination (120 Questions / 120 Marks, 120 Minutes):
   • Banking Knowledge (30 Qs / 30 Marks)
   • General / Economic / Financial Awareness (30 Qs / 30 Marks)
   • Reasoning Ability & Quantitative Aptitude (30 Qs / 30 Marks)
   • English Language (30 Qs / 30 Marks)
2. Psychometric Assessment / Group Discussion (GD): Conducted at the bank’s discretion.
3. Personal Interview (PI): Minimum qualifying marks: 60% for General/EWS, 55% for Reserved categories.
4. Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT): Mandatory for candidates who did not study the state’s local language in 10th or 12th standard.
