Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate Degree from a recognised university or institution in one of the prescribed disciplines.

Certain medical qualifications such as MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BAMS and other prescribed equivalent qualifications are also included, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.

Candidates must also fulfil the prescribed training requirement under the applicable Food Authority rules. Hindi or Sanskrit at the Matric level, or Hindi as a subject in higher education, is also required as specified in the recruitment notification.

Age Limit

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 42 years
Age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved and other categories according to the applicable government rules.

Salary

Selected candidates for the Food Safety Officer post will receive pay under:
Pay Scale: ₹9,300 – ₹34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,200
Pay Level: FPL-6, Cell-1
Starting Basic Pay: ₹35,400
Other applicable allowances and benefits will be provided according to the applicable service rules.

Application Fee

Eligible PwBD candidates with at least 40% disability – NIL
Eligible reserved categories and women candidates covered under the specified rules – ₹250
DESM candidates belonging to the prescribed reserved categories – ₹250
DESM candidates belonging to the Unreserved category – ₹1,000
All other candidates – ₹1,000
