Educational Qualification

Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
Candidates must also have proficiency in the local language prescribed for the relevant Regional Rural Bank.
Working knowledge of computers is also required/desirable as specified in the recruitment notification.

Officer Scale-I

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
Preference may be given to candidates having degrees in subjects such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
Candidates must also meet the prescribed local-language and computer-knowledge requirements.

Officer Scale-II

The educational qualification depends on the particular Scale-II post.
For the General Banking Officer position, candidates require a Bachelor’s degree with the prescribed marks and relevant banking or financial-sector experience.
Specialist positions such as IT Officer, Law Officer, Chartered Accountant, Treasury Manager, Marketing Officer and Agricultural Officer have separate professional qualification and experience requirements.

Officer Scale-III

Candidates applying for Officer Scale-III must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with the prescribed minimum marks and fulfil the required professional experience criteria.
Candidates with relevant qualifications in banking, finance, agriculture, management, law, economics, accountancy and related areas may receive preference as specified in the notification.

Age Limit

The age requirement differs according to the post.

Office Assistant: 18 to 28 years

Officer Scale-I: Above 18 years and below 30 years
Officer Scale-II: Above 21 years and below 32 years
Officer Scale-III: Above 21 years and below 40 years
Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to eligible candidates belonging to reserved categories according to Government rules.
Generally, SC/ST candidates receive 5 years of relaxation, while OBC candidates receive 3 years and eligible PwBD candidates receive additional relaxation as prescribed.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive salary and allowances according to the applicable scale and service rules of the respective Regional Rural Bank.

Office Assistant and Officer posts carry banking-sector pay along with applicable allowances and benefits.

The exact salary structure varies according to the post, scale, and participating Regional Rural Bank.
