Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification
- Warder / Matron: Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or its equivalent from a recognized education board. Additionally, candidates must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the mandatory subjects at the Matriculation (10th) level or higher.
- Assistant Superintendent Jail: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university or institution, with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject in Matriculation or higher education.
- Mandatory Prerequisite: All applicants must possess a valid qualified status card from the Group C Common Eligibility Test (CET).
- Age Limit (As of January 01, 2026)
- Warder / Matron Posts: 18 to 25 Years
- Assistant Superintendent Jail Posts: 21 to 27 Years
- Note: Upper age relaxation rules apply for reserved categories, EWS, and ex-servicemen as per standard civil services guidelines.
Selection Process
The selection layout consists of successive screening rounds to test physical fitness and technical knowledge:
- Stage 1: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) to check minimum height and chest standards.
- Stage 2: Physical Screening Test (PST) featuring running and endurance trials.
- Stage 3: Written Examination (Offline OMR-based test).
- Stage 4: Document Verification and Initial Medical Evaluation.
