Eligibility Criteria

Candidate Scope / Who Can Apply

Land Loser candidates whose land was acquired for the Konkan Railway project (and their family members).
Domiciles of Maharashtra, Goa, or Karnataka having valid Employment Exchange registration cards along the Konkan Railway route.
Serving regular KRCL employees with at least 3 years of service.

Educational Qualification

Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical): 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in the respective engineering discipline from an AICTE-recognized institution.
Senior Section Engineer (S&T / Mechanical): 4-year B.E. / B.Tech degree in relevant engineering fields (Electrical, Electronics, CS, IT, Mechanical, Production, Automobile, etc.) or M.Sc.
Station Master / Goods Train Manager / Section Controller / Commercial Supervisor: Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Technician-III / ESTM-III / Assistant Loco Pilot: Class 10th (Matriculation) pass AND ITI (NCVT/SCVT) or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in relevant trades, or 3-year Engineering Diploma.
Track Maintainer: Passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board.

Age Limit (As of August 01, 2026)

Group ‘C’ Posts: 18 to 36 Years
Track Maintainer (Erstwhile Group ‘D’): 18 to 45 Years
Note: Standard upper age relaxations apply for SC/ST, OBC-NCL, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, and KRCL employees as per rules.

Application Fee

All Categories (UR / OBC / SC / ST / Female / PwBD): Rs. 1,180/- (Rs. 1,000/- Base Fee + 18% GST of Rs. 180/-)
Fee Refund: For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities, EBC, and PwBD candidates, the examination fee will be refunded (minus processing bank charges) upon appearing in the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Payment Mode: Online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT) — A 90-minute objective evaluation covering general awareness, reasoning, mathematics, and relevant technical/trade subjects.
Stage 2: Skill Test / CBAT — Aptitude or skill test applicable for posts like Station Master and Assistant Loco Pilot.
Stage 3: Document Verification (DV) — On-site validation of original educational, land loser, domicile, and category credentials.
Stage 4: Medical Examination — Assessment of physical and visual fitness as per standard Railway medical categories (A-3, B-1, C-1, etc.).
