Punjab National Bank (PNB) has officially released a detailed notification inviting online applications for 545 vacancies for the post of Local Bank Officer (LBO) in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I).
Eligible graduates with at least one year of banking experience can submit their applications online through the official PNB web portal before the closing deadline.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification & Experience (As of August 09, 2026)
- Must hold a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Mandatory Banking Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-qualification full-time work experience in the Clerical or Officer Cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB).
- Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must possess proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the official local language of the state for which they are applying.

- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Note: Upper age relaxation applies as per government guidelines (5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 10 years for PwBD candidates).

Selection Process
The selection layout comprises four sequential evaluation stages:
- Stage 1: Online Written Test — A 150-question objective examination (150 marks, 180 minutes) covering Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness.
- Stage 2: Application Screening — Verification of mandatory banking experience and academic transcripts.
- Stage 3: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) — Qualifying test for candidates who did not study the local language in the 10th or 12th standard.
- Stage 4: Personal Interview — Final evaluation round carrying 50 marks.
How to Apply
- Visit the official PNB web portal (pnb.bank.in) and navigate to the “Recruitments” / “Careers” section.
- Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” under the Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 notification.
- Enter your basic details, including your name, contact number, and email ID, to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Log in and carefully fill out your personal profile, graduation details, local state choice, and mandatory 1-year banking work experience details.
- Upload scanned files of your recent passport-size colour photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and necessary educational and experience certificates.
- Pay the required application fee via the online payment gateway.
- Review all entered details in the form preview, submit the application, and print a copy of the completed application form and fee receipt for future reference.
